Description

The drama focuses on the incestuous relationship between a brother and a sister. Upon returning from his studies in Bologna, Giovanni has surprising passionate desire for his sister, Anabella. He opens this with Friar Bonaventura, venting out and confessing that he is lusting for his sister. Friar told him it would be a great sin if he pursues his desire for his own sister and he should repent for this.

Anabella has several suitors but she does not want any of them. Then her brother Giovanni tells his feelings for her and she did not think twice of reciprocating his love for her. Putana tells Annabella to continue her incestuous relations with her brother, telling her further that it is normal for siblings to lust for each other. Annabella got pregnant and she was uncertain of what to do. She asked for an advice from Friar Bonaventura, and he told her to marry Soranzo, one of her suitors.
