From Glinda learning about the queen’s plans and using her magic to thwart them, to another new set of characters – Betsy Bobbin and her companion, Hank the Mule – being shipwrecked in the Rose Kingdom, the story offers plenty of remarkable events and magical outcomes that will delight, surprise and enchant any child who reads Baum’s now eighth book in his Oz series.

Tik-Tok of Oz is also the first book that brings a girl other than Dorothy to the magical land of Oz. The many generations of children who loved Dorothy and her friends have also been delighted to find this story, featuring slightly more original characters taking her place.
