Description

The author of the popular mystery crime novel “I Spy”, Natalie Sumner Lincoln contributed to the detective story genre with dozens of books. One of the most appreciated works, The Red Seal is a novel that will keep you guessing to the end. Filled with suspense and mystery, the story unfolds with bizarre events, red seals as well as red herrings that will certainly delight and excite.

The story begins in a court, where a man is being brought or charges of burglary. However, before being questioned thoroughly, the man dies in front of all the people present. While at first, the man is suspected of having died from a heart disease, evidence points to the fact that he was murdered. More than that, it also appears that the man is actually one of the complainant’s friends, disguised as the burglar.

The mystery further deepens when the family attorney goes missing. Suspicions start to point to the attorney, but things take a dramatic turn when the police find out that the murdered man was a bank teller. Things get even more complicated after realizing that there are many valuable assets missing, and that the bank teller could have been involved in the burglary.

The answers to all of these mysteries seem to be contained within an envelope which is closed with a red wax seal. However, before anyone gets a chance to open the envelope, the latter seems to disappear, as if it had a life of its own. The envelope is thought to contain incriminating evidence, correspondence related to the burglary or even the missing stocks themselves. The authorities need to have the envelope, as behind The Red Seal, they might find answers to all their questions and unravel the mystery.
