However, detective Gryce cannot be misled for too long – his superior intellect will put together the pieces of the puzzle and the reader will be eventually provided with the solution that explains everything.

The novel comes not only with a well-rounded mystery, but with lots of very accurate and detailed descriptions about the legal background – a feature that made Green’s novels so popular and appreciated by the general public and by legal professionals as well. The plot may not be the fastest – the book was criticized for advancing very slowly – but Green certainly knew how to keep the reader’s attention engaged. Therefore, if you are not looking for a story full of chasing, fights, bad language and violence, The Mystery of the Hasty Arrow is the perfect book to curl up on the sofa with.
