Fantômas uses odd and implausible tactics in his delinquencies, including disease infiltrated pests, gigantic serpents, and rooms that are full of sand.

The Exploits of Juve reports many of Juve’s exploits in quest of this notorious offender and concludes with what may be Fantomas’ vengeance on the investigator.

Marcel Allain was a French author chiefly recalled nowadays for his co-authorship with Pierre Souvestre of the literary outlaw and notorious offender Fantômas.

He was born to a middleclass family in Paris, Marcel took up legal profession before his employment as a columnist. He also worked as a subordinate of Pierre, who was beforehand a distinguished personality in literary affairs. They produced their first book, Le Rour. Inspecting Magistrate Germain Fuselier, after becoming a periodic role in the Fantômas sequels who is featured in the story.

Marcel and Pierre went on to publish the Fantômas sequels at the suggestion of Arthème Fayard, an issuer who needed to make an up-to-date monthly sensational publications. The fame was instantaneous and enduring.

After Pierre died, Marcel kept on writing the Fantômas series by himself, after which he introduced many other sagas, including Tigris, Fatala, Miss Téria and Férocias, but none accumulated the similar success as Fantômas.

Marcel tied the knot with Pierre’s partner, Henriette Kistler. All in all, Marcel made over 400 books in his productive literary profession.
