In a brief introduction to his book, he said that he was accustomed to give a sermon every Sunday to young boys and girls of his congregation. The sermons are not more than six minutes, some are usually of three. Every Sunday, children of all ages grew in number in order to listen to the beautiful sermons. The children felt that they belong in the Church of God and realized that it is not only for the adults. Missionary Bruce S. Wright wanted to impart his message that attending mass worship every Sunday is a must, and it is important to hear the word of God every Sunday.

Bruce Simpson Wright was a Methodist minister. Between the years 1915 and 1918, he was a pastor of the Union Church in Manila. He was also known for his works such as The Symphony of Faith and Pentecost Day by Day.
