Description
The Broken Vase and Other Stories are written and collected by a teacher only for children and youth, and even for older ages as they would like. This compilation is categorized as children’s fiction, action and adventure fiction. The stories included in the book are The Broken Vase, Little Bertram, Elm Tree Hall, Belleville School, and Honest Poverty, Integrity, and its Reward. Children of the olden times tend to be so fragile and very weak knowing that they only depend from their parents or guardians for support. Boys are prioritized more than girls with regards to their schooling, as they thought, boys excel in education rather than the latter. That boys can do things greater than what a girl can do, this is why girls are not given the right to study in higher education like colleges and universities. Whereas, the children of today are more independent and much more intuitive than those children before. The downside is, children nowadays are inclined and engrossed more on the modern technology inventions like the television, mobile gadgets, desktops, laptops, game machines, and all types of savvy tools which are hindrances to their studies. But there are also advantages to such inventions like research and productive use of it for school and work. When we see, and look at children, they seem to be so innocent and pure, and it seems like their only problem is gaming around with their toys, asking for more toys and stuffs. They are also picky eaters. Most children love bed time stories and this book will surely enchant and inspire them, making them want to unravel more stories. Children’s stories must be entertaining, fascinating, full of surprises and definitely unique so kids could enjoy it all over again. These five stories not only delight children but it also entails moral lessons teaching them to be good and how to have right manners.
