The main story starts when the sultan Shahrayar discovers of his brother’s adulterous wife and afterwards learns his own wife is also adulterous. He was very angry and he has his wife put to death and he considers that all women are the same. Then he starts to marry a virgin bride every night only to have her killed the next day so as not to commit acts of infidelity. But his vizer cannot give him virgins anymore so his daughter, Scheherazade offered herself as the next bride to his father. She tells these continuous stories every night in order to save her life.
