The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the Empire of Japan were part of the Pacific War of the Second World War. As a result, there was an allied triumph. During the bombings, there were 20 British, Dutch, and American prisoners of war who died, in Hiroshima there were 20,000 soldiers killed, 70,000 to 146,000 civilians killed, and in Nagasaki there were 39,000 to 80,000 killed.

The United States of America dropped nuclear weapons in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the two destroyed cities of Japan during the Second Great War of the World. The dropping of the bombs was with assent of the United Kingdom of Great Britain as drafted in the Quebec Agreement. The atomic bombings were the only use of nuclear weapons for battle in the past.

In the final stage of the great war, the Allies planned and awaited for their invasion of the Japanese land which was presaged by the United States conventional and firebombing campaign destroying 67 cities of Japan. The war in Europe had ended when Nazi Germany surrendered after Adolf Hitler killed himself. The Japanese refused to surrender and rejected the Allies’ demands so the Pacific War went on. The Allies declared the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Japan, though the Japanese only disregarded it on purpose. The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was officially documented by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) from the United States of America, owing its allegiance to the United States Army. It is sometimes referred to CoE, a United States federal agency under the Department of Defense and a major army command. It is one of the biggest engineering, design, and construction management agencies.
