He is regarded as the “Father of Modern Medicine in recognition of his unwavering contributions to the field as the founder of the Hippocratic School of Medicine.

Aristotle (384-322 BC) was an ancient Greek philosopher and scientist born in the city of Stagira, Chalkidice, on the northern margin of Classical Greece. His writings cover physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theater, music, rhetoric, linguistics, politics and government. He set up the first comprehensive system of Western philosophy.

Aelius Galenus or Claudius Galenus (September 129 AD – c. 200/c. 216), usually Anglicized as Galen and also called as Galen of Pergamon was a leading Greek physician, surgeon and philosopher in the Roman Empire. Galen helped develop different scientific disciplines, like anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and neurology, also on philosophy and logic.

Andreas Vesalius (31 December 1514 – 15 October 1564) was a 16th century Flemish-Netherlandish anatomist, physician, and wrote one of the greatest books on human anatomy, De humani corporis fabrica (On the Fabric of the Human Body). Vesalius is regarded as the founder of modern human anatomy.
