Lyndon Orr is the pen name used by Harry Thurston Peck. He was a US historical academic, writer, editor, and analyst. Harry was born in Stamford, Connecticut. He was taught in private schools and at Columbia College, where his narratives earned massive interest. His speech at the end of that year’s graduation was “witty, pathetic, and fully of clever allusions” in accordance the New York Times. “Bouquets fell at his feet by the score as he bowed his way off the stage.” On his commencement, he quickly became a Latin professor. At the feast of the 150th anniversary of Columnbia’s discovery, he was one of the many distinguished professors chosen to recently formed chairs: he came to be Anthon Professor of Latin Language and Literature.
