A German Deserter’s War Experience is a book based on a German soldier’s war and military experience in 1917 but he wished not to disclose his name to his audience for he was scared that his relatives might take revenge for what he has done. He escaped from Germany and service in the army after 14 months of battling in France.

The life of the German soldier was very much detailed during The First World War which has inspired lots of people in the United States of America when it was printed in text form. The author did not want to be of service to the military, and hates it because he believes that there existed no love during war, only violence and killing of innocent people, hostility and cruelty prevailed in the war. The narration also consists of the first German details of the surrender of the Teutonic armies after the fight of the Marne.

The German soldier regretted such act of serving the military during The Great War because he was against it. The Great War had no purpose at all for humanity, instead, it was a great disaster and a misuse of vicious power.
