Lilian Fanny Gask was a storyteller for kids. She was the first of 6 kids of Charles Gask, tradesman, and his wife Fanny Edis Gask. Lilian’s brother, Arthur Gask, was also an author.

She was reported in the England and Wales Census as being hired as a “pupil nurse” in London.

She wrote her first story, Dog Tales, which was later issued. This was the first of around 30 stories printed all throughout her days. She often worked along with Dorothy Hardy, a noteworthy animal and equestrian illustrator.
