Cupid’s Darts (Which Are a Growing Menace to the Public) is a poem of love written by an unknown author. The poem is written in celebration of the Valentine’s or Hearts Day dedicated to all the lovers of all nations. The short poem tells a story of a little angel named cupid who scurries around in places looking for loveless persons and with his tiny bow and arrow, clenches it and darts it through the lonely hearts of some people. And voila! Instant love at first sight happens.

There are three kinds of relationship or status a man would rather choose, such as single blessedness, married life, and religious or vocational life. Some people choose to live on their own and are happy with the way things are, they do not rely or depend with others by having a close connection with them. But that does not mean that they have closed their doors to loving someone, they may not have lifetime partners but they have loved ones like their parents, siblings, nephews, nieces, colleagues, friends, acquaintances and all others. If there is none, singles adopt pets, treating them like their own family.

Married people are described to be fruitful and the happiest not just because of their intimacies but because of their little ones who gave more life to their meaningful relationships. Although, not every marriage is successful, there are also problems every now and then. These can be easily resolved through great love, trust, faith, and respect to one another.

Then there is this unity and sacred marriage to the Almighty God and they are called priests, nuns, or monks. In this religious or vocational life with the Lord, they commit themselves only to Him, giving all their entirety by also serving humankind by being a good servant of God
