Description

Camilla, with the subtitle, A Picture of Youth, is a story by Frances Burney, first appeared in 1796. Camilla handles with the marriage issues of a number of young people: Camilla Tyrold and her sisters, the sweet and humble, Lavinia and the distorted, but very kind-hearted, Eugenia, and their cousin, the pretty Indiana Lynmere – and to be specific, with the romance between Camilla herself and her unattached lover, Edgar Mandlebert. They have so much difficulties, although, triggered by fights and rifts, in the way of real love.

A very famous 18th century story, Camilla is tinged at several subjects by the progressive soul of rose-tinted glasses. As in Evelina, Fanny interlaces into her story channels of bright and gloom, humor incidents and grotesque tremors, and illustrates lots of social, expressive, and psychological predicaments that irradiate the space among generations.

Frances Burney, also called as Fanny Burney and after she got married as Madame d’Arblay, was a farcical writer, diarist and tragedian. She was born in Lynn Regis, known today as King’s Lynn, England. She was the daughter of the musician and music historian Dr. Charles Burney and his first wife, Esther Sleepe Burney. She was self-taught and started making stories what she referred to as her scribblings when she was ten years old. She married a French refugee, General Alexandre D’Arblay. Alexander was their only son. After a long writing profession, and trips in which she was stuck in France due to war for over a decade.

Frances Burney was an author, memoir writer and dramatist. She wrote a total of four books, eight dramas, one biography and twenty works of journals and letters. She has earned analytical esteem in her own honor, but she also presaged other authors of conduct with a tint of comedy such as Jane Austen and Thackeray.
