Bunyan Characters Volume II is the second of the four volumes of the characters from the books of John Bunyan. This second volume is about the characters of the Pilgrims Progress.

The second volume of the Bunyan Characters was lectured and addressed in St. George’S Free Church Edinburgh by Alexander Whyte, D.D.

A continuation of the series where a man should walk in faith in God and obey his commandments. Paul happily said that he was alive without the law once and John Bunyan proudly said that he was now a brisk talker also in the matter of religion. Faith can be at times be an understatement, we all need all efforts to fill ourselves with the love of God we often ignore.

Reverend Alexander Whyte DD was a Scottish minister. He was born at Kirriemuir in Forfarshire and attended school at the University of Aberdeen and at New College, Edinburgh.

He went to the ministry of the Free Church of Scotland and after serving as a fellow minister in Free St John’s, Glasgow from 1866 to 1870, he left to Edinburgh as a fellow minister and scion to Dr R. S. Candlish at Free St George’s. He became the descendant of Dr Marcus Dods as principal, and educator of literature of the New Testament, at New College, Edinburgh.
