Bunyan Characters Volume I is the first of the four volumes of the characters from John Bunyan’s books. This first volume is about the characters of the Pilgrims Progress.

The first volume of the Bunyan Characters is the first series to be lectured and addressed in St. George’S Free Church Edinburgh by Alexander Whyte, D.D.

Bunyan Characters imply to all man to be just like them by being a servant of God in any way possible. As Paul said to Timothy, he should be a preacher of good faith. A good Christian is inspired to go to the Holy Mass because of the priest sharing the message of God not only priests, but also faithful family and friends or even things like a hearty book.

Reverend Alexander Whyte DD was a Scottish minister. He was born at Kirriemuir in Forfarshire and attended school at the University of Aberdeen and at New College, Edinburgh.

He went to the ministry of the Free Church of Scotland and after serving as a fellow minister in Free St John’s, Glasgow from 1866 to 1870, he left to Edinburgh as a fellow minister and scion to Dr R. S. Candlish at Free St George’s. He became the descendant of Dr Marcus Dods as principal, and educator of literature of the New Testament, at New College, Edinburgh.
