This is about the story of Bobby North, an orphaned little boy who is five years old and finds out that all children have birthdays. He is determined to hunt for his own birthday and asks himself many questions about having such wonderful surprise. As he searches for his beautiful day, he meets a man with lots of pennies and a woman who adores cute, young boys like him. Join him on his quest to finding his own birthday and finding real happiness and unending love with his new family. A marvelous and cheerful life awaits little Bobby.

In the first few pages of the story, Bobby walked outside into the yard near the gate to see the horses and wagons and the cars driving freely into the fascinating and surreptitious road. He was curious of the world outside because he was not allowed to go out and play with the other kids his age. He was thinking of going outside and disobey the head mistress whom he calls ‘Supe’tendent’ just for one day for he was certain that he can easily pass through the gate by crawling himself under because he was too small. Sometime before, he happened to see the two little boys walking past and stopped to look at Bobby and the enormous brick house surrounded by trees and quickly crawled themselves under the gate to go inside. This made Bobby want to go and play outside. But he knew that the head mistress will be very mad at him, thinking that she will not give him food as she sends him to his room. Inquisitive Bobby eventually finds his own awesome adventures once he takes hold of the world beyond.
