Description

The Letter to the Romans or Romans, is the sixth book in the New Testament. Biblical scholars concur that it was written by the Apostle Paul to justify that redemption is obtainable through the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is the most extensive of the epistles of Paul and his “most important theological legacy” and work of art.

The Darby Bible or DBY with the proper title, The Holy Scriptures: A New Translation from the Original Languages by J. N. Darby. It discusses about the Bible as translated from Hebrew and Greek by John Nelson Darby. John Nelson printed a translation of the New Testament in 1867, with revised editions in 1872 and 1884. Upon his death, a few of his students made an Old Testament translation founded on John Nelson’s French and German translations. The comprehensive Darby Bible, as well as his third edition New Testament and his students’ Old Testament, was first released in 1890.

John Nelson’s purpose was, as he states in the preface to his English NT, to make a new translation for the unschooled who have no chance of acquiring the contexts nor education and comprehension of primal languages of the Scriptures. He was the chief scholar for numerous translations and not the only translator of the many other translations indicating his name. He slogged with countless colleagues who had scholarly and religious attributes. He also nods to the reliance on the crucial work of Samuel Prideaux Tregelles and many other scholars. His translations were not expected to be read audibly. It was purposed for schoolwork and personal usage. He mainly used the English KJV in his spoken ministry.
