Revelation, or Apocalypse, also called as the Book of Revelation, the Revelation to John, the Apocalypse of John is one of the biblical texts of the New Testament of the Christian Bible. The Book of Revelation got its title from Koine Greek apokalypsis which means unveiling or revelation. It is the only predictive book in the New Testament precept. The Apostle John is said to be the author of this book and he was one of the Christian prophets. Revelation talks about future occurrences that it does not invoke certain people or occurrences but of sacredness and divinity and the contrast between light and darkness.

The Revised Version, Standard American Edition of the Bible, simply known as the American Standard Version (ASV), is a Bible translation into English language that was finished in 1901, with the production of the revision of the Old Testament; the revised New Testament had been published in 1900. It was originally noted by its complete title, but have other names, as the American Revised Version, the American Standard Revision, the American Standard Revised Bible, and the American Standard Edition. When its copyright was extended in 1929, it had come to be known as, the American Standard Version. Because of its distinction in seminaries, it was in the United States to sometimes call as the “Standard Bible”.

The American Standard Version, also known as The American Revision of 1901, started in 1870 to revise the Authorized Version or King James Bible of 1611. This work of revision gradually drafted the Revised Version (RV). American religious leaders for scholars were sent requests to lend a hand on the RV assignment. In 1871, thirty scholars were selected by Philip Schaff. The religious creed designated on the American committee were the Baptist, Congregationalist, Dutch Reformed, Friends, Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Protestant Episcopal, and Unitarian. These scholars started their project in 1872.
