Description

Philippians is a book written by Paul while he was incarcerated, it is also called as the Prison Epistle. It is one of the books of the Christian New Testament. The important persons in the Book of Philippians are the Apostles Paul, Timothy, Epaphroditus, Euodia, and Syntyche. The book is written to cite Paul’s gratefulness and affection to the Philippians through a letter of gratification for their unending zeal and moral support. The Apostle Paul also wants to strengthen and develop their love and unification with God. Two certain points are endowed by God for those who follow, one is to believe in Him and the second is to experience difficulties.

The Revised Version, Standard American Edition of the Bible, simply known as the American Standard Version (ASV), is a Bible translation into English language that was finished in 1901, with the production of the revision of the Old Testament; the revised New Testament had been published in 1900. It was originally noted by its complete title, but have other names, as the American Revised Version, the American Standard Revision, the American Standard Revised Bible, and the American Standard Edition. When its copyright was extended in 1929, it had come to be known as, the American Standard Version. Because of its distinction in seminaries, it was in the United States to sometimes call as the “Standard Bible”.

The American Standard Version, also known as The American Revision of 1901, started in 1870 to revise the Authorized Version or King James Bible of 1611. This work of revision gradually drafted the Revised Version (RV). American religious leaders for scholars were sent requests to lend a hand on the RV assignment. In 1871, thirty scholars were selected by Philip Schaff.
