Description
The 2nd book of Corinthians was written by the Apostle Paul, it is a Pauline Epistle or a letter from Paul. The central personages of the book are the Apostle Paul, Timothy, and Titus. Paul had sent this letter to the church in Corinth to contend and uphold his faith and to lead the people to the righteous God and warn them against pretentious pedagogues who were teaching falsity. In his book, the Apostle Paul lectures to share the word of Jesus Christ and only His teachings and not our own. For we are only His servants and our main purpose is to serve Him with all our heart. The Revised Version, Standard American Edition of the Bible, simply known as the American Standard Version (ASV), is a Bible translation into English language that was finished in 1901, with the production of the revision of the Old Testament; the revised New Testament had been published in 1900. It was originally noted by its complete title, but have other names, as the American Revised Version, the American Standard Revision, the American Standard Revised Bible, and the American Standard Edition. When its copyright was extended in 1929, it had come to be known as, the American Standard Version. Because of its distinction in seminaries, it was in the United States to sometimes call as the “Standard Bible”. The American Standard Version, also known as The American Revision of 1901, started in 1870 to revise the Authorized Version or King James Bible of 1611. This work of revision gradually drafted the Revised Version (RV). American religious leaders for scholars were sent requests to lend a hand on the RV assignment. In 1871, thirty scholars were selected by Philip Schaff. The religious creed designated on the American committee were the Baptist, Congregationalist, Dutch Reformed, Friends, Methodist, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Protestant Episcopal, and Unitarian. These scholars started their project in 1872.
