The theory on the world of Atlantis, for some especially the science experts, say it is delusional. The author firmly believes that Plato’s argument of Atlantis is real and existing. He even tried to demonstrate that all ancient civilizations settled from this illusory land. he explained further that the precepts about Atlantis might be founded on the development and technology of the present day, the ancestors of all races and progressions, and a civil war between right and wrong. Donnelly stated that Atlantis is an account for analogy between the ancient civilizations of the Old and New Worlds. Atlantis: The Antediluvian World was written by an American politician, populist writer, amateur scientist, attorney, and farmer. He is best known for his theories about Atlantis – a nonexistent island stated in an allegory on the hubris of nations in Plato’s writings Timaeus and Critias; Catastrophism – a theory stating that the earth is affected in the past by violent, damaging events, and destructions, which is global in breadth; and Shakespearean authorship question – a dispute that other than William Shakespeare of Stratford-upon-Avon, has written works which has been ascribed to him. Donelly’s sister named Eleanor was also a writer. His works on Atlantis was neglected by scholars and scientists, they regarded it as a false belief and pseudoscience supporter – alleges, beliefs, asserts that the theory introduced is scientifically substantive but is not probable by the scientific process. It was described by Gordon Stein that “most of what Donnelly said was highly questionable or downright wrong.” Though many would likely disagree. Some people have the same perception as of Donnelly, that Atlantis really do exist. Most of his works include Ragnarok, the Age of Fire and Gravel; Caesar’s Column, Doctor Huguet: A Novel; The Golden Bottle or the Story of Ephraim Benezet of Kansas; The Cipher in the Plays, and on the Tombstone; and all others.
