The Red Cross Spirit Speaks is a poetry about humanitarian and inspiration by John Huston Finley, an outstanding American author, poet, and professor. He served as president of two of the prestigious schools in the United States including Knox College in Illinois and the College of the City of New York. he became an editor at Harper’s Weekly, and McClure’s Magazine. He then was a brilliant professor of politics at Princeton University. He was elected Commissioner of Education for the State of New York. He even wrote numerous substantial weekly articles and reports.

The poem talks about the First World War and how the victims were able to surpass all the frightening and chaotic revolt against their country. Several men, women, children, and soldiers were killed, and their surviving families grieved upon their death. Then there came the Red Cross with the Red Crescent, they helped, aided, and comforted the victims of war and other cataclysm. The Red Cross Commission in Palestine was headed by John Huston Finley during the First World War. The Red Cross helped the victims to alleviate their pain, external and internal.

The Red Cross is currently existing in nearly all countries in the world. An International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement was instituted. It has millions of volunteers, members, and staffs all over the world which has the goal to preserve human life and health, to guarantee respect for all people, regardless of their age, gender, race or creed, and to prohibit and lessen a man’s discomfort.

The movement has many various organizations that are lawfully distinct from the other such as, The International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Embraced in the same principles, objective and goals with the movement.
