American humorist and writer Mark Twain wrote the novel, The American Claimant in 1892. This books did not mention any weather according to Twain, it is a fictitious literary. Weather is a literary study and a good writer can make a superb article out of it. The American Claimant is a comedy of mistaken identities and several character switches. The characters include an American smitten of British hereditary aristocracy and a British earl led by American democracy. The main character, Colonel Mulberry Sellers, is an effervescent, cheerful, and mad scientist. He is full of ideas and he is eccentric. His wit leaves the readers wonder if this predicted inventions such as human cloning, fax machines and photocopy machines. Twain shares some serious matters with hints of comedy such as the formation of one’s self and personality, the part of the press in the society, and the moral and social queries elevated by capitalism and industry in America. A combination of science fiction and fantasy, romance, satire, and political humor, Twain’s comic novel is provocative, exciting, and interesting all at the same time.Another character is Washington Hawkins, the Congressional Delegate who partners with Colonel Sellers. Hawklins is a stout, unhappy man and was believed to be fifty years old. There’s also Sally (Gwendolen) Sellers, the daughter of Colonel Mulberry Sellers and Polly Sellers. Sally is both democratic and aristocratic. She works hard as a seamstress and upholds the family’s aristocracy. Sally got stricken with Howard Tracy (Viscount Berkeley Rossmore), the only son and heir of the Earl of Rossmore, whose full name is very lengthy.
