Bobs is among the four sisters whose parents died, sending them with the obligation of looking after for themselves. They have to help each other to be chirpy through the rough time and on their way, they meet several adventures.

Grace May North (Monfort) was born on February 1, 1876 and died on July 23, 1960. She was a newspaper journalist and writer of stories for kids and adults, tales which starred both girl and boy heroes. She authored mainly using her real or ‘maiden’ name Grace May North though many of her subsequent books were also reprinted using the pseudonym Carol Norton.

She was born Grace May North in Utica, New York. In her profession, she is recognized to have been employed as a newspaper journalist. She lived in New York City where she was employed at the Webster Branch of the New York Public Library from 1910 to 1915. Her tasks contained managing a story telling club for girls, and having story telling in schools and establishments. She settled west to Nevada, living in Carson City. She later resided to Santa Barbara, California. She died in San Luis Obispo, California and was buried in Halcyon Cemetery, Halcyon, California.

She composed several of her books from ca. 1918 to ca. 1935. She wrote two series of books for adult girls around 1919-1924, and went on to pen numerous individual books, also for girls. Some of the later books were also consequently reprinted using the pseudonym Carol Norton. In addendum to her girl-themed juvenile adult novels she was also the writer of, and so on, the X Bar X Boys series for adult boys and the Southwestern Stories for Children series for younger kids.
