Description

Who would not love art? Everything we see is art and even we, ourselves is made out of art by our Heavenly Father. The Book of Art for Young People is a creative book about the history of art, starting with the 13th century in Europe. Every part of the enticing and wonderful book contains historical paintings with illustrative and attractive hues. There is a detailed narration of the story of every painting also with the facts, times, and painting styles of the creatively skilled persons. After reading the contents of the book, any people would want to learn about painting or any arts. Or they might even sign up for an arts club like painting class, lessons about making crafts, and all other fine arts. One question is, why are the prolific works of an artist given full worth after they are gone?

The Book of Art for Young People was vibrantly written by Agnes Ethel Conway intended for children and all people regardless of age. The author was a British historian and archaeologist who dug in the lands of the Middle East. She and her husband, George Horsfield, were notable for their work at Petra and Kilwa, and created complete studies of the history of her father’s castle, Allington, in Kent owned by the Wyatt family during the 16th century.

She studied at Baker Street High School and Kings College before enrolling at Newnham College, Cambridge. She studied for a History Tripos, Greek lessons, and Classical Archaeology at Newnham College. She was admitted to the British School at Athens and went on tour in Greece and the Balkans with her friend, Evelyn Radford, also a student of Newnham. Conway wrote a book of her travel with a descriptive title, A Ride Through the Balkans, on Classic Ground with a Camera. She was also memorable for her other texts and achievements.
