The Anniversary Poems

The poem has three stanzas, the poet illustrates through the celebration of his first anniversary with his dearest. The poet shares his unconditional love with the love of his life. The poem points out that when two lovers die and lie in different graves, their souls will meet also with the other souls and they will be revived. At present, the two lovers commit to faithfulness and hopes that they will have more anniversaries loving each other.

The poet’s affection for his other half is sincere and was described that their passion has no tomorrow . . . , no yesterday, therefore immortal in nature. Their love though not increasing, but stays the same during their lifetime. He is satisfied with the consistency of their love. He will remain true and honest reckoning the same thing with her. Describing their love as eternal even as they depart.

The poem mentions about the royal court of kings, he compares the kings with the sun, deciphering that the two are mortals and closer to dying upon his first sight of his beloved. Seldom do this kind of relationships happen, oftentimes, we hear stories about infidelity, abandonment, abuse, and many other related issues. Some bonds are one-sided which means that the other lover loves greatly than his significant other. The most difficult is when both got married, and raised kids, then encounters marital problems, the children are most likely affected.

Communication is important in keeping up with your partner, talking about everything either positive or negative. Talking also about relationship issues and resolving them immediately. Constant togetherness will keep your love grow and realize that here might be forever in forever in love. Sounds cheesy, right?

On the darker side, one cannot control another person in his words and deeds. If a person really loves his partner, he will do every single thing just to make her happy.
