Description

Despite of the conviction of Arius by Nicea, Arianism stood far and beyond. For many years after Nicea, political controversy and character rifts went on to complicate the doctrinal matters. Including the border dividing orthodoxy from Arianism went ambiguous by several partly Arians who consented with the doctrine of orthodoxy but drew out to refute to the homoousios of the canon of Nicene. This atmosphere made Athanasius of Alexandria steadfastly endeavored to stop and prevent the clashes and uphold oneness and coordination. Although Athanasius sometimes had no friend at all, he refuses his exertions in achieving oneness through uncertainty and seek for oneness through transparency.

Saint Athanasius of Alexandria was also known as Athanasius the Great, Athanasius the Confessor or, principally in the Coptic Orthodox Church, Athanasius the Apostolic, was the twentieth bishop of Alexandria, as AthanasiusI. The duration of his service as an episcopate lasted for 45 years, of which more than 17 years were exhausted in five dispersions by the order of the four distinct Roman emperors. Athanasius was a Christian theologian, a Church Father, the chief defender of Trinitarianism against Arianism, and a noteworthy Egyptian leader of the 4th century.
