Grace Harlowe is the female lead and compellation of four sequences of stories for girls, issued by Altemus from 1910 to 1924. In some measure, a few books were republished by Saalfield Publishing. The High School Girls Series, College Girls Series, Grace Harlowe Overseas Series, and Grace Harlowe Overland Riders Series were composed by Josephine Chase, using the illusory name Jessie Graham Flower.

The adventuresome story includes: Overton Claims Her Own; The Unforseen; Mrs. Elwood to the Rescue; The Belated Freshman; The Anarchist Chooses Her Roommate; Elfreda Makes a Rash Promise; Girls and Their Ideals; The Invitation; Anticipation; An Offended Freshman; The Finger of Suspicion; The Summons; Grace Holds Court; Grace Makes a Resolution; The Quality of Mercy; A Disgruntled Reformer; Making Other Girls Happy; Mrs. Gray’s Christmas Children; Arline’s Plan; A Welcome Guest; A Gift to Semper Fidelis; Campus Confidences; A Fault Confessed; and Conclusion.

Jessie Graham Flower is allegedly a pen name for United States novelist Josephine Chase whose death was on 1931. She was the writer of the famous Grace Harlowe series of 27 stories for girls, penned from 1910 to 1924. The novels are divided into four series, such as a high school series, college series, Overseas series, and Overland Riders series. In spite of the success of these stories and their ongoing run in the passed down book store, there is virtually no facts accessible on stream of the novelist.

She was also renowned by other fictitious names such as Pauline Lester – Marjorie Dean Series, Ames Thompson, Capt, Gordon Bates, and Dale Wilkins. Josephine Chase also wrote the Khaki Boys series (1918-1920) using the fictitious name Captain Gordon Bates.
