She also wrote more than 1,000 magazine articles like Country Life and William Robinson’s The Garden. she was referred to as “a premier influence in garden design” by English and American landscaping aficionados. She was mostly remarked for her beautiful creations of the numerous gardens she designed.

Jekyll was associated with the Arts and Crafts movement and highly remarkable as one of the most inspirational and historical partners of the movement. In gratitude to her English architect friend, Edwin Lutyens who gave her projects of creating and designing numbers of gardens and designed her home Munstead Wood in Surrey. The British Pavilion was crafted by Lutyens and Jekyll’s brother Herbert for the Paris Exposition.
